Treaty of Versailles
The end of World War I meant that the world could finally rest easy after several years of war. Even though the war was over, Germany still had to pay the price for instigating the war. Many nations involved in the war felt that Germany had to be punished while others felt that there was enough conflict and didn't want Germany to get punished. However, the Treaty of Versailles was still passed and enforced in the end.
